Challenge of the Centuries Bike Ride
Held on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, the Challenge of the Centuries is a 29 year old annual event held on the weekend before Memorial Day. Rides of 35, 100K and 100 miles are held on Saturday and Sunday with riders leaving at 8 am each day from the Hartwell YMCA. Sponsored by the Hartwell Kiwanis Club the ride has annually 350 to 400 riders and each year has numerous riders who are repeat riders.
