About Us

The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of animals in Hart and Franklin Counties. We partner with the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter to provide second chances for pets in need and to help reduce shelter overcrowding. Our Subsidized Spay/Neuter Program supports responsible pet ownership and works to decrease the number of unwanted animals in our community.

As a volunteer-run rescue, we do not operate a public shelter, have no paid staff, and are not affiliated with Animal Control. We receive no government funding and rely on community support to continue our mission. Volunteers are always welcome, and every contribution—time, donations, or advocacy—helps us save more lives.
