Cars & Guitars 2025 Breaks Records and Celebrates the Best in Show Downtown Hartwell roared to life this Memorial Day weekend for the annual Cars & Guitars festival, drawing a record-breaking crowd and maxing out participation with 158 cars on display—overflowing into the First Citizens Bank parking lot. Hartwell, GA – Hudson Milner, a senior at Hart County High School, has been awarded a $1,000 Primary Care Doctor Scholarship to support his pursuit of a career in medicine. Hudson plans to attend the University of Georgia this fall, where he will major in Biology on the pre-med track with aspirations of becoming a physician. Hartwell, GA – May 10, 2025 – The Georgia Bass Trail returned to Lake Hartwell for the second major tournament of the season, launching from the Gum Branch Mega Ramp on a cool, windy, and rainy Saturday. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, 52 boats and 104 anglers turned out for a successful finale to the 2025 North Division schedule. This event marked the first time the Georgia Bass Trail has used the newly installed dock at Gum Branch, a welcome addition for participants navigating the wet conditions.
